A teacher of ours once said that curiosity is not good. I couldn't agree with him at the time. I thought then that curiosity is for increasing one's knowledge.
Recently, whenever I open Google on my phone, what immediately comes up are a series of trivia news (could be also called gossip stories) from the movie industry.
When I open YouTube, what comes up are reels from movies and interviews with celebrities.
I know, that's because I have spent some time reading such stories and watched some reels. I have been doing it for some time now.
Title writers are experts in phrasing catchy titles that would arouse our curiosity.
It is clear that knowing those things don't bring us any good. I think that's the curiosity our teacher was trying to communicate then.
It seems that we only need to pay a little attention whether reading such news or watching those reels, would improve us.
Curiosity is not a good thing!
Not only that we don't gain the whole world but we don't even gain anything by losing our lives for such trivia!
